Bobby Fischer Against the World

Bobby Fischer Against the World is a 2011 documentary about the life of American chess grandmaster and eleventh World Chess Champion Bobby Fischer (Robert James Fischer, 1943 - 2008), considered by many one of the greatest chess players of all times.

The film follows his story as a brilliant chess player from an early age, as he became the US Chess Champion at age 14, then depicts in detail his 1972 game against Boris Spassky of the USSR, which got him the world champion title. We see how his career went into a decline afterwards, as his world views became more extreme and his behavior very unusual, probably due to a paranoid psychological condition that was never formally diagnosed.
