Paris Is Burning

Paris Is Burning is a 1990 documentary film about the black gay ball culture in the late 80's in New York, and the surrounding drag, gay, and transgender scene.

It features footage from various balls in these years, intertwined with parts of interviews with people involved in them, talking about how life was back then for black gay individuals in New York, how they loved the ball culture, and their hopes and aspirations.
