Picasso: Love, Sex and Art

Picasso: Love, Sex and Art is a 2015 BBC documentary about the life and work of Pablo Picasso (1881 - 1973) with an emphasis on the women in his life and how they influenced his art.

Born in Malaga, Spain, Picasso lived for most of his adult life in France and was involved with many women, having serious relationships and children with several of them throughout his prolific artistic career in which he experimented with different styles of painting, having distinctive periods as per art critics, such as the Blue Period, the Rose Period, the African-influenced Period, the Analytic Cubism, and the Synthetic Cubism.

The documentary tells Picasso's story using archive footage, photographs, his paintings, and interviews with people that got to know him. It is directed by Hugues Nancy and narrated by Rebecca Gethings.
